Rebecca “Violet” Vicars grew up in Northeast Tennessee, the proud daughter of Sid Vicars, an amazing mechanic, expert troubleshooter and builder of beautiful street rods. Spending most of her time in her dad’s garage, she developed a love for all things old and a knack for transforming whatever materials were available through an imaginative lens.

She holds an M.F.A. from Tyler School of Art.

Violet has called Sunnyside her home for 13 years and she treasures the neighborhood for fulfilling her childhood dream to one day live in a place like Sesame Street. A community where neighbors are encouraging and looking out for each other. Her love for and dedication to the community grow with each passing day.
